Here are two new songs from the upcoming "Suburban Cinema" album, due August 2018. For this album I've gone back to recording and playing all the instruments at home by myself - pretty much how i started out way back in 2004. In some ways I feel these new songs are as honest and true to myself as I've ever been on record, with a new-found lyrical directness only hinted at previously. I've thrown a few new things in the mix - including real drums alongside machines, analog synths next to digital patches and virtual guitars blended with battered acoustics. Basically whatever was at hand to make the songs work musically, while allowing the stories within room to breathe. I hope you enjoy it. - Brendan Wixted
